Frequently Asked Questions

  • If these products are natural, why do they have preservatives in them?
This is a great question. Although these products ARE natural, seeing that some of them contain water, the responsible thing to do is put a natural broad spectrum preservative (a preservative that protects against bacteria, mold & fungi) - that does not have chemicals in it that are carcinogenic or harmful to your health. If this did not exist the products you buy will spoil within a week & grow microbes that can be very dangerous for you.
  • Why do I still deal with body odour while using the natural deodorant?
Any time you change your deodorant product there will be a period of adjustment. When it comes to a natural deodorant (our product) is one of the strongest ones I have tried to date in North America. If you are like me & used prescription anti-perspirants to keep dry & odour free, it can take up to 90 days to confidently detox off the chemicals. It takes that long as well from other store bought deodorants/anti-perspirants BUT stick with it & re-apply as many times during the day until you find you do not need to! Allow your body to re-adjust to a natural way to fight odour. Your systems will thank you.
  • They say that if you cannot pronounce it then it is not natural-why are there ingredients in your products that sound synthetic?
This is true, however here in Canada we need to provide the INCI name (scientific name) to the ingredients we use & even though they are natural they have chemistry-like names attached to them. I can assure you that all ingredients are from natural sources or derived from natural sources, both ethically & with environmental awareness.
  • Why is there a short shelf-life for some of the products?
Even though there is a broad spectrum natural preservative in these products, sometimes water goes into them from the users home & can contaminate them. Most of the time the products actually have a 12 month shelf-life but in order to keep you safe I like to be more conservative with a shelf-life allowance. If the product does not smell or change colour on you, it is safe to say that you can get more use out of it.
  • Why is the product line so small? Will you have new products or can customers request items they wish to buy?
I get this question a lot. I take my diploma in natural skincare formulation + my RHN (Registered Holistic Nutrition) education & formulate things that matter to consumers. This company started 7 years ago without me knowing it. My deodorants & cleansing balms were the two things that started it all because of so much interest. After all everyone wears deodorant right? As my skills & requests grew, I began introducing newer products, SO if there is something you want me to make, drop me a line in the CONTACT US section & I will personally respond to you with feedback. For now, I have taken what I see to be trending, useful & naturally beneficial for you & your health!
  • What happens if I do not like a product after 30 days?
I want you to know that your business is important to me. This is a small business & if the 30 days have past please understand that the policy stands. All returns will never be re-sold to anyone for sanitation reasons so once you send it back (shipping costs apply), the item is thrown out responsibly & the refund is issued.
  • Why do you not sell or make Tallow?
One of the most asked questions lately, seeing that tallow (being something used in the past of which I support how it was processed back in the day) is on the rise and very "FAD" or in style, marketed by influencers & other people. My stance on this product is firstly, after purchasing it myself for my grandson's severe eczema (a few kinds and from various providers)- it did not work as they advertised it to work. It is very greasy, and not just from our use but from my customers comments. Most people do not actually like it once they used it. It is just something that is super hype due to social media. The biggest reason is the way cattle are handled in North America. We have laws here that do not raise our cattle well, they are fed things that we should not even eat and they are treated poorly. I do not stand on the statement that we are not suppose to eat animals by any means, BUT with the way our world handles animals I strongly disagree with our manufacturing processes and the way they are raised, killed and rendered. This is why I will not get into the making of this skincare. I do not trust the sources (and I have gone around and did all my research, travelling & due diligence). It is not the farmers I do not trust because their hands are tied for the most part, but I do not like how our systems make us farm. I have chosen to stick with plant-based organic, raw & proven ways to make skincare using things with life and living organisms in them.
